Valssi
Warder
The
title
translates
as:
"Silent
Farmhouse
Waltz"
There
is
something
unique,
wild
and
untamed
beauty
in
the
Karelian
meadowlands.
Peaceful
red
farmhouses
color
the
countryside.
Those
lands
have
music
of
their
own.
That
song
was
tinged
with
sorrow
during
the
World
War
][.
Hundreds
of
those
who
had
nothing
to
do
with
the
blaze
suffered
death,
torture
and
worse
at
the
hands
of
Russian
partisans.
Many
of
whom
would
return
to
their
homes,
only
to
discover
their
loved
ones
broken
and
maimed
by
German
invaders.
Whose
capital
city
lay
in
ruins;
littered
with
corpses
of
feeble
and
strong
alike.
During
man's
stay
on
this
planet,
the
earth
has
indifferently
drunk
the
blood
we
have
spilled
upon
it.
It
has
embraced
us
when
our
time
has
been
to
leave
this
life.
And
after
the
last
child
of
man
has
perished,
still
the
earth
remains.
