Tune #3 is the same musical theme that tune #13. What do you think about it ? Plagiat ? |

I must say the compo makes some difficulties to me. Using MorphOS as my main system I'm neither able to listen to the modules in their native formats nor able to donwload MP3 files due to this Flash crap used. Can I have downloadable MP3 files? |

I think that Renoise users and other tracker users are not in equal conditions. Renoise provides more possibilities to transform entry sample and more different effects. Remember this, when voting ! |

I always say that the most important thing in a tune is composition (in most cases), not the quality of samples or used effects. But it may be only mine point of view... :) |

I totally second Oleg - Renoise mods sound noticeably better. I'm not quite familiar with this tracker, but I have the feeling samples were eq'ed or basically tweaked a bit. And AceMan. Yep, you're perfectly right - it's the composition that really matters. But I bet a common listener considers every single tune as a whole; as a mixture between composition, arrangement, mixing and so on. Now, what I'm trying to say is when you take a weak composition and make it sound awesome, the listener will have an overall impression that song is better than it actually is. To put it in other words - take an average, shy girl and dress her in sexy clothes :) |

If the main problem is the set of track fx, you should remove from compo: mt2, dbm & xrns. I don't know if the rns format includes track fx too. Anyway - what is not possible on other trackers (like in standard mod format), always may be done with fx commands and simulated on 2-3 tracks more. Need a pure sound? Download xrns/mt2/dbm and disable tracks fx. IMO - when you are short of time - you have to use some trick (like track fx) to create what you really need to hear... a sexy shy girl... |

If you want to have all these DSP in your track, use Renoise. If you don't then use older trackers. But please stop complaining about AD 2010 program being sexiest than 199x software... |
